The Clothing Space is a new model for Darby Street retail. Launched in September 2025 by Kelly Carrall in the former Whitakers Jewellers location, it’s built around circular fashion: customers bring in their preloved clothing, tag and price it themselves, and The Clothing Space provides the racks and sells the items on commission.

Rack rental options cover 20, 40, or 60 pieces, making it accessible for both light declutterers and dedicated consignors. The model creates a constantly rotating stock that makes each visit genuinely different.

It’s a concept that aligns with where sustainable fashion is heading - community-driven, low-waste, and genuinely useful for Newcastle residents looking to refresh their wardrobes.
