Made on Darby is a concept that champions local creativity. Founded by Sharon Cassidy and Michelle Bryant, the collective gives 19 Newcastle and Hunter Valley makers their own dedicated retail space - each maker rents a section and prices their own goods, with no commission taken.
The result is an unusually diverse and authentic shopping experience. A single visit can turn up locally made jewellery, art prints, candles, plants, handmade clothing, pet accessories, tea, and seasonal preserves - all from makers who are genuinely invested in their craft.
It’s the kind of shop that anchors a street’s independent identity and makes Darby Street a more interesting place to spend a morning.
